MEETINGS:

October 5, 2006 - Welcome New Members!

October 1, 2006 - Record books due to 4-H Leaders (if you were a member for at least a year).

November Meeting Day & Date Changed to:
November 17, 2006 - FRIDAY - at the Log Cabin.  We will have a meeting with the other Small Animal Clubs.
 
December 7, 2006 - (Pearl Harbor Day) - Speaker from the Woodbridge Animal Shelter.  Bring a donation of cat food if you can.
 
January 14, 2007 - Sunday, January 14th, starting at 9AM, is Clean-Up day at the 4-H Building.  We are asking that any family whose schedule permits, come out and help clean up the building and grounds.  There will be Pizza and Drinks for those who attend.  Please come out and help!  If you can all pass the word on to your club members and parents that would be great.  

January 19,  2007 - Holiday Party. Friday. See EVENTS below.   NEW THIS YEAR - AT THE LOG CABIN, WITH THE OTHER SMALL ANIMAL CLUBS.  This replaces the January Meeting.

February 1, 2007 - Bring a Pet!

March 1, 2007 - Judge Bob P. talks about guinea pigs (cavies).
 
March 31, 2007 - Middlesex County Small Animal Show.

May 3, 2007 - Club Presentations (May - County Presentations) - Let Mr. Miller know.

June 7, 2007 - Plan for Fair.  Take pictures of animals for the Fair.  Bring donations for raffle basket for the Fair - Dog basket.
 
June 9, 2007 - Blood Drive at Clara Barton First Aid Squad (where meetings are held).  1:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  All donors will receive 2 free Mets tickets by mail for a July game.  A valid for of ID and your social security number are required to donate.
 
July 21-22, 2007 - Log cabin clean-up for the Fair.  Lunch will be provided.  A drawing will be held for 2 winners to receive wristlets for rides at Fair.
 
July 30 - Aug. 3, 2007 - Fair set-up at log cabin.  6:30 pm - 10:00 pm.
 
August 4, 2007 - Last day of set-up - 10:00 am.
 
August 5, 2007 - Small Animal Show. (judging)
 
August 6-12, 2007 - Middlesex County Fair.  Open evenings, but 4-H people can go any time to take care of animals and work their shifts.
 
August 6, 2007 - Zoo Crew sleepover at fair.  11:00 pm - 11:00 am.
 
August 8, 2007 - Zoo Crew is on duty for the day.  11:00 am - 11:00 pm.  Work a 4 or 8 hour shift!

September - Fall Camp Weekend?

October 1, 2006 - Record books due to 4-H Leaders.

October 8, 2006 - 4-H Open House. 1 to 4pm. All clubs should be there!  Bring animals to show & to pet.

October Weekends - Help and ideas are needed.  Haunted House at the Fairgrounds, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Helpers needed.  Friday & Saturday evenings 7-11 PM.  4-H members grades 6 and up can help.  Proceeds go toward 4-H Project GIFT.  We will need some volunteers because each Club is asked to help run the Tiki Hut. 

November  11, 2006 - Middlesex County Small Animal Show at the Log Cabin, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ (Fairgrounds). 

December 10, 2006 - Project Gift, by Teen Council.  Donations of NEW gift items can be dropped off at the November or December Zoo Crew meeting or at the Log Cabin. 

January 7 - 4-H AWARDS PROGRAM at the Log Cabin.  2pm.

January 19, 2007 - Zoo Crew Holiday Party - THIS YEAR, ALL CLUBS WILL HAVE A PARTY TOGETHER AT THE LOG CABIN.    $10.00 per family includes pizza, subs and salads.  Please bring a snack (chips, cookies, etc.) and a drink to share (2 liter bottle or similar size).  We are also having a $5.00 GRAB BAG if your child would like to participate.  Please send a gift that can be used for either a girl or boy.  RSVP TO MR. MILLER!!  we need a head count for food. 
 
March/April 2006 - Possible overnight at the log cabin for small animal clubs.

October 9, 2005 - Cleanup at the 4-H Log Cabin on Cranbury Road.  All day.  Rain? - Call the 4-H Office.

October 15, 2005 - Zoo Crew - Work at the Tiki Hut, by the Haunted House (Fairgrounds, Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick).  If you can help, please contact us (ZooCrew4h@yahoo.com) or just show up!!  Arrive between 6:30  and 7:00. Thank you to all members who can help!!

November 3, 2005 - We are asking each family to bring $10.00  to donate for our community service: Adopt a family.  We will give the money or a gift certificate to a family from Louisianna that has relocated in Perth Amboy.  We are also asking for canned goods to give them.
We will make ice cream sundaes. The club provides the ice cream & we are asking each family to bring a topping to share.

December 1, 2005 - Speaker from the State ASPCA.  Donate a bag of dog food, if you can.

January 14, 2006 - Holiday Party. - See EVENTS below.   (Date changed from January 7th)
RSVP BY JANUARY 3RD TO MR. MILLER.  There will be no January Meeting.

OTHER:

1. Save for Fair:  Blankets & Sheets - please save old blankets to donate for the fair.  They will be used to cover the cages on chilly nights.
Save:  tuna & cat food cans for the fair, to be used for food dishes. They will be recycled after the fair.

2. Tricky Tray baskets are needed to be raffled off at the Fair - approximately $30.00 value (or higher).  Every 4-H club does at least one basket.  Bring items to be added to the basket(s) to a club meeting (May or June) or contact Mr. Miller.  Or donate a basket.
